Gears of War: Game of the year, period.

I just picked up a copy of Gears of War and went directly into multiplayer. The controls were relatively easy, and the community was great. For the most part, people were willing to help (except those bastards that kicked me for not doing 1-on-1). The online game immediately gets you pumped, and makes you have an adrenaline rush. Seriously, it's like you just drank ten coffees and are eating pure sugar. I said sugar, not another white substance that provides the same effects. Anyway... 10/10 for multiplayer Gears of War. I will write another review once I have played the campaign.

Downtime

It seems as though we've had some downtime... but don't worry! We haven't left! Just taking a break, I'm sure.

Gears Of War, Game of the year or not?

This game has massive amounts of hype associated with it. Now I'm sure for those of you who don't own it are wondering what makes it so good. I am here to tell you, with lots of experience I might add.

One of the many things that make it such a cool game is the fighting interface. It still offers the run around a waste everything in your path feel. But, this is the harder way of playing the game. This game has made it possible to hide behind almost anything to get a good shot on the enemy. Also, this feature has been made even more realistic. Lets just say your enemy is hiding behind a sofa. Well, as in real life unload enough ammunition and that sofa is gone. The same also applies to you.

Another great thing about this game is the unique weapons. To grasp the weapon set being realistic this game is set into the future. It offers many weapons such as Rocket Launcher, A heavy machine gun equipped with a chainsaw bayonet, a laser aimed rocket crossbow, magnum, Si-Fi Pistol, A sub-machine gun, and the deadly hammer of dawn (this is a weapon that focuses infared radiation from satellites on a pinpoint).

Also, it has a nice story to it as you play through the game. But, I'm not going to spoil it so you'll have to play it yourself.

I give Gears Of War a 8.5/10

Happy Gaming,
Frankie

DVD vs. HD

Searching the web, I stumbled across this amazing comparison between DVD and HD discs, showing The Lord of the Rings in both formats. You can easily see a difference in the image sets.

Xbox360 Overheating Problem

There are a lot of problems with Xbox360's overheating. Due to overplaying, or just plain system defect. So to fix this problem a lot of people are turning to intercoolers. Unaware of the serious damage they can cause.

So now you see what it can do. I will show you a safer alternative which still provides good protection against overheating.

This is the Pelican Xbox360 Fan stand it provides very good cooling with no parts actually connecting into your Xbox360. It is also the exact same price as the intercooler. This 20$ investment is well worth it for prolonging the life of your console.

World's Smallest Twin Engine Airplane

So I stumbled upon this whilst searching YouTube. In the comments, there is a lot of controversy over if this is real or not. Is that an RC plane we see flying around, or is it really the world's smallest twin engine airplane? I'm not sure myself, so how about some user input?

DotD: OpenOffice (PC, Mac, Linux)

No, DotD does not stand for George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead; in fact, it means "Download of the Day," and today's DotD is OpenOffice. OpenOffice is a healthy alternative to Microsoft Office. First, it's free. What's better than free stuff? I suppose I shouldn't have used "First" because I don't intend on saying "Second."
Anyway, here's the link:

Although it's old for some, fast food freestyle is sure to be new for many.

Pulsating LED Speakers

Place to buy LED Mods

Basically all it is, is a bunch of LEDs that pulsate based on the Sound Frequency. The site has a bunch of LED mods for the Wii and Xbox360.

How to: Hack a Vending Machine

Steps:
1) Pay for something

3) Hold the release door up so the machine thinks it didn't drop the goods
4) Mash the return coins button

6) Repeat steps 1-5 as much as you like
7) Enjoy the fruits.. erm.. fats.. of success!
